Checkout and the customer portal are Stripe-hosted. The app never sees card numbers. Create two products in a Stripe sandbox or test mode — Pro at $12/month and Team at $39/month — and put their price IDs in STRIPE_PRICE_PRO and STRIPE_PRICE_TEAM. Point a webhook at /api/stripe/webhook and set STRIPE_WEBHOOK_SECRET.

The plan changes when Stripe says the subscription is active or trialing. A deleted, unpaid, or incomplete subscription returns the workspace to Free. Monitors beyond the new cap are locked (the oldest ones stay active) rather than deleted. Chat channels stop delivering until you upgrade again. Disputes and early fraud warnings pause paid features until the dispute is won.

If you charge customers in the US or EU, look at Stripe Tax before you turn on automatic tax. Tax is not collected until a registration is active, and this app does not enable automatic tax for you.
